Welcome to the PSW Corner

Welcome to the PSW Corner.
This special space has been created for anyone who is a front line professional caregiver of persons with dementia or wants to learn more about this very important work. In Ontario we refer to these individuals as Personal Support Workers (PSWs), but there are many other names for this important position, including health care aid, nurses aid, personal attendant, or supportive care assistant.

Those of you who are already caring for people with dementia know how rewarding, exciting, exhausting, and important this occupation can be. The more resources you have available to you, the better your ability to do your job with a compassionate person-centred approach. This PSW Corner complements your training and adds to it.
